Made as mandatory for Group ‘C’ and some other government employees in Karnataka, the computer literacy test has become very much important. The training cum online test was taken in hand by the Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd (Keonics). Currently the exam bookings are open for the April 2017 exam. Based on the Keonics computer literacy test results, you will be provided with marks cards and certificates.
Why computer literacy test (CLT)?
- As reported by the officials from Assembly Secretariat, the e-governance initiative in the state needs every employee should have knowledge in computer (English & Kannada lanuguge).
- Through this CLT results, employees will be considered for promotion and annual increments.
What you will get after Keonics results?
- You will be awarded with marks card / certificates.
- If you produce the certificate, you will get an opportunity of Rs. 5000 incentive.
If you fail to perform well in the 90-minute test,
Within 3 years you will be denied to get promotion.
Within 4 years you will be denied to get annual increment.
All your pass certificate will be handover to the Assembly Secretariat, which is provided for you by Keonics.

At first, the law minister, Suresh Kumar in the state has explained the complete information about the exam. Even he warned all the government employees about the pass in the exam. If you are still now exempted to take the computer literacy test, enroll and register for the April 2017 exam.
All study materials like syllabus, model question papers are available online, so try to refer those. You will have a training extents for 5 to 6 days. You will have classes for basic computer features like MS office, internet, printing, software for typing Kannada and so on. The test will be available for 80 marks with a duration of 90 minutes.
The exam centers may be available in all regions like Mysore, Tumkur, Bangalore, Shimoga, Devangere, Gulbarga, Ghandinagar, etc., throughout the state. Register online with employee ID no /KGID no and date of birth.
